DA Internship presentation

In past few months, my main task perform was graphic designer and once in a while helping operation team as supervisor for some events conducted by Attractive Media. It was a good exposure offered to improved my design skills, wide knowledge and communication level, which a different thought when dealing with outsider such as clients, suppliers, people, etc.

As far as I am concern, my accomplishment of design skills are getting better each day, as well as communication level. Furthermore, as a designer might involved in pressure and stress, especially to meet up with deadlines or fussy clients. Sometimes, I been pressured by this factor but I can ensure it is the best motivation to achieve better level.

An opportunity given by Attractive Media for me to expressed my imagination of design had brighten up my future and ambition to be tough for incoming days. Here, instead of creative I learnt a lot such as operation job, how to do a good presentation as well as meeting, clear view of healthy competition, improving communication level and how to running such company. Those factors are really important to develop and prepare myself in future.

No doubt there are few negative aspects, which I noticed as like disrespect, inappropriate supervised and limited freedom in doing tasks at Attractive Media. To be successful, a professional attitude is an appropriate behavior in such organization. I realized time is main aspects in producing best artwork, more time you have, more ideas can be include in.

Last semester was my first experienced doing fully digital graphic after completed one year in Hobart Tasmania. It was a struggled semester for me because I came totally from another field and trying to catch up with graphic design. I am very grateful since I had fully support from my family and friends which giving me another chance to do what I want to do. Within four months I reached a better skills in design.

In rating my level of satisfaction is 25%, I considered myself as “new” and I need to learn more until people realized that I am a professional. Willing to learn is my priority, instead design field is huge and I need to explore more. As I mentioned earlier I completed my first year at UTAS, from my observation their design sometimes are very simple but yet straight to the point compared to our design. This sort of thinking I would like to discover and put more varieties in my design. Dublin, the island of Ireland is my next destination.

Since young I like to sketched especially logos and easily attracted with colours or nice designs. In that case, I don't really counter with an idea problem in designing stuff. Its miracle that I can catch up with adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop in about four month which very difficult if I am not into graphic design. I can say that my execution is clean and use a lot of space. While in other hand, communication level between people and me are strong.

In any organization, team work are very important towards efficiency. Well, high communication must be good indeed to prevent miscommunication. Relationship between staff - staff or staff - boss should be two ways so there will be no conflicts. Some high position in company may required them to be strict but yet tolerance and respect is a must for human. That is how people appreciate another. Protective sometimes play a major role to stand up with the design, where people might question “why?” so rationale could be the answer. While, as I mentioned it before, it is inappropriate if bring stress to work place or home, tackle it wisely.

Here a little bit of myself, which I can share. I am a fast learner, willing to learn and can accept challenges. Seriously, I believed that nothing is possible and with my motto ‘just do it’. In working conditions I really need some quality time to produce better design. The idea is important as well, it might be ridiculous to design stuff within limited time and I like to explore more about design by surfing the internet, where I can get more ideas and up to date. I grew in a very good family, so respect is priority to us. I hate when people disrespect others and also I can be harsh to certain people who have an attitude problems. Another thing besides respect is communication skills, it is the best way to win peoples heart. LEARN IT, LIVE IT, LOVE IT.
